How long does a shoot take?

We will typically block out an hour and a half for a shoot and about 2 for newborn babies. We like to make sure there is plenty of time but most shoots are done within an hour.

What if we get sick?

Call us and we'll make another time. No worries at all. Sick people = not so awesome pictures. Obviously give us as much notice as possible though :)

What should we wear?

You need to be comfortable and be yourself! Plain clothes are better than busy prints and patterns so avoid those. Dressing in a complimentary way is a good idea so think similar colours but steer away from matchy-matchy - that look is pretty dated. We'll discuss this more at your planning appointment.

What do we bring along?

Feel free to bring as little or as much as you like! We don't have our own studio props here because we believe your portraits must be uniquely yours. Click here for some inspiration.

How many people can I bring?

The more the merrier! The studio can accommodate about 20 family members at a time but we have a few tricks to work with bigger families. No additional charge for more people so bring the whole clan! Oh and PLEASE don't forget the fur-family!

Are you open weekends?

At this point in time, we have designated weekends as our family time. We all have young families and are only too aware that we can't get this time back. We do take late appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and also book in the odd 8:00am shoot to be as flexible as we can.

Dean with a baby

This is Dean, your photographer, with a baby he stole cuddles from during a shoot. They share the same birthday. 😍 Dad picked up Dean's camera and captured this moment! How cute!!

Can we buy files?

Yes. As a full service professional studio our focus is to create archival photographic artwork for you to showcase on the walls in your home. However, we realise it's important to many people to have digital versions too so we'll give you a Share-file (for digital use) of any print you buy. Often 'all the files' is a must have. These are best bundled in with our artwork collections.

How much does it cost?

Well that depends. Sometimes people spend a few hundred dollars and just buy a couple of prints, other times people deck out their home with 8k worth of beautiful big wall art. Here is a really helpful page that explains this all in more detail. If you would like a specific quote, we'd be more the happy to give you one - please get in touch!

Do you offer Payment Plans?

We sure do! About 40% of our clients will choose to pay off their portrait order over a period of time. We can set you up with a simple direct debit payment plan or if you’ve got a good credit history, you can apply to use Payright to receive your order straight away and get 12 months interest free - either way, we’ll make sure you get everything that you want. The portraits you order will last a lifetime - we certainly don't mind if you have to pay them off for a year or so! If these options suit you best we will sort it out at your ordering appointment. There is no time limit or minimum amount - you choose an amount that makes it easy :) We now offer a prepaid saving plan where you can start making debits BEFORE your shoot. Please contact us about this option.

I’ve seen a competition online… what’s that about?

From time to time we feel super generous and do a bit of a giveaway. Full disclosure, this is a great way for us to get exposure for the business and sometimes we give away a few runner-up prizes to help people FINALLY get around to having that photoshoot they’ve wanted for ages. These prizes often include enough credit for a single print but people are never just locked into that - it’s a great starting point for those that love their images and choose to buy more. There is NEVER any pressure from us for clients to do so but because we’re awesome and make pretty amazing pictures… we find they do most of the time! T@C’s here

Do you have a guarantee?

Absolutely! If you don't love the results from your photoshoot we will happily rebook another session at no extra charge or refund your session fee in full.

Are you qualified and insured?

We are fully insured and extensively trained in all aspects of this business including infant handling. Dean holds a diploma in Children's Services and is an accredited member and Master Photographer with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).
