Originally hailing from SA, Dean came to his senses and moved to Hobart with his high-school sweetheart back in 2004. After eight years as an early childhood educator, Dean found himself hooked on family photography and ditched the classroom for a studio.
"Every child is unique and that needs to be celebrated. I love to explore the personality of the people who I have the privilege to photograph; it's what drives me creatively." - Dean
Dean's passion for kids of all ages is stronger than ever and he is particularly gifted at building instant rapport with all children, especially those who face developmental differences. He gets a genuine high from capturing his clients' true personalities and being able to present them to families as artwork to be cherished. *TIP: Bring some tissues, folks.
When Dean isn't in our Hobart studio, on location, editing shoots or winning AIPP awards, it's a safe bet he is with his family. As one of the most devoted family men you could ever hope to meet, Dean loves nothing more than whisking his wife and kids away for a trip to the shack at the slightest whiff of a public holiday.
