So how does it work?
You fill in the application
We’ll contact you via sms (from +61428126010) with a link to book in your consult 📱
We’ll chat in the studio or via zoom and book your shoot date/time/location 📸 (you pay a $88* fee)
We’ll make some frigging awesome pictures together! 👯😎😎
You come to the studio for a slideshow 🤩 and ordering appointment to choose which ones you want for home 😍 (you pay for or arrange payment plan for whatever you want to buy) Oh and we a shortlist for the book 📖
You love the photos forever and rave about how awesome the whole experience was 😅
*Your $88 participation fee, will go directly to the Tasmanian Multiple Birth Association 😍 This covers the whole process and inclusion in the book.

We’ve had the privilege to photograph hundreds of beautiful families over the years! Some are a bit shy to start with but they always warm up once they realise this is all about creating a fun space to be your best self in. It is a “say cheese” free space!! One thing we always hear is how much our clients love the results!

What is this “wombmates” project all about? Well, I grew up with triplet cousins which I thought was the coolest thing ever! They are sooooo much fun to photograph both on their own and in the context of their families. Due do popular demand and a sell out project last time, we thought ‘why not do something similar but even more awesome?"‘ Making a book full of Tassie multiples will be a whole lot of fun!
We are all about photographing people (and their pets) in a way that represents who they are without the confines or 'perfect posing'. This often means shoots can get a little bit hectic - never more so than when little wombmates are involved. 🤪 This isn't a daunting prospect for us though - it’s actually super fun! 15 years full time in photography and a career in childcare before that… I’m prepared for anything 😅 We are donating all the participation fees with the aim to raise $3,000 for the Tasmanian Multiple Birth Association.
What is in it for me? Your $88 participation fee is a direct donation to help raise much needed funds for Tas MBA.. You will also have at least 1 image of your wombmates feature in the book, you’ll have a series of priceless portraits made by one of Tasmania’s premier portrait artists, AND you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase photographs from your photography session and get some amazing wall art for your home. #warning 😅 Additional costs likely - if you love the images we make for you, you’ll probably want to buy them! Doing so isn’t compulsory though. We can chat more about this at your obligation-free planning appointment which is the first step to getting involved. 🙌🏼
When can we have the shoot? During normal studio operating hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30-5:00 or so. We also have a couple of after hours sessions each week to try and make it easier for everyone to get along. We may offer some super limited Saturdays spots too 🤞🏼. If you would like our school holiday sessions times best get in quick - they book out super fast! The first step is your planning appointment where we get to meet you and find out a bit more about the personalities in your family. You also get a chance to have a look through the studio and ask any questions you might have. This means on the day of the shoot you’ll all be super relaxed.🙂
Who is the photographer? Dean Mansbridge is the owner here at Zanzo and will be your photographer. He's long been known as a 'child whisperer' for his innate ability to make BFFs with pretty much every child that comes to visit the studio. He's pretty handy with pups too. He’s been full time photographing Tassie families for 15 years and worked in childcare before that. He did this project 10 years ago and won a bunch of awards for the work. This and other similar projects have seen him raise over $30k for local charities.
Can I have all the family photographed? Absolutely! We will be happy to photograph the whole family at no extra cost, we recommend you take full advantage of the photography session. More pets or more people = More fun for everyone!
Can I purchase photographs? Yes, of course we will give you the opportunity to purchase photographs. Chances are we’ll make heaps of great images at your shoot to try and get a single great image for the book… Personalised, photographic wall art makes an AWESOME addition to your home. At your planning appointment (before the actual photography session) we'll discuss all of our products and pricing with you to figure out what might suit you best. As a rough guide, our happiest clients tend to spend between $1500-3k and purchase a mixture of beautiful wall art, small prints, designer albums and digital versions to share with friends and family. We have super flexible payment options to make sure it’s super easy to get exactly what you want our of your experience. 🤗
Will my photograph definitely be in the book? Yes! All those who pay their participation fee, are photographed (obviously), and return for their slideshow presentation/ordering appointment will be in the book but it is limited obviously to how many we can get in there without it feeling too crowded. First in, best dressed!
Do I get to choose the photograph to be included? Our Design Team gets the final say in which image goes into the book, but they’ll choose from YOUR list of favourites which you will create at your ordering appointment. This just ensures that the design of the book is balanced.
How much will the actual book cost? Gotta be honest… that’s a bit unknown - last time we did a project like this managed to get the cost down to $85 per book but this is based on volume. Like most things, they become cheaper the more you buy. Probably somewhere between $80-$110.
Note - if you are under the age of 18 you must find an adult to apply for you and they must be present at all of your appointments.
